Download studios was trying to create a new path , for a generation of Indians who thrive to be part of entertainment and art industry.
Industry
Entertainment, Art.
What did I do?
Product Design | Web Design | Marketing Design
What did I learn?
leading creative chaos, pitch ideas, and build from scratch.
What It Was
Download Studios started as an idea between a few people who believed that freshers deserve more than just YouTube tutorials and dead-end college fests.
So we built a platform where students could:
Make their first short film
Run actual stand-up comedy gigs
Learn by messing up, collaborating, and doing
We pitched colleges, partnered with production houses, and tried to make the indie dream real — for a little while, it was.
Problem
Talented students in creative fields — like filmmaking, animation, stand-up, and gaming — often have the passion but lack real exposure, industry experience, and platforms to showcase their work.
College fests were often disorganized, internships were gatekept, and most student projects never made it beyond the classroom.

Vistara film festival
Vistara film festival was a Download Studios initiative to help Aspirants of entertainment industry to get the spotlight.
This festival is an idea to help and encourage many talents and passionate souls to introduce their works to the world. The Goal was to to - Find talent, providing them exposure to Entertainment Industry and even build our team.
What did I do
Defined competitive + non-competitive categories
Wrote event copy, rules, and prize structures
Managed submissions, jury decisions, and promotions
Designed the full Vistara brochure
A shelved film project
This portfolio is not just about the success, I have failed, but I have learnt, and this is one of those moments. It was a Tamil indie feature.
What did I do
I built the team from scratch.
I looked after Pre-production and the execution during the production.
Worked on concept development to early storyboard and character arcs very closely with the team.
What happened ?
The film got shelved due to the absconding of the director after scamming the producers.
Stand Up comedy events with Morph Code
Partnered with comics and event teams to host stand-up comedy nights — mixing fresh student comics with working artists.
What did I do
Coordinating with artists, event managers, and college bodies.
Campus ambassador program
Launched a Campus Ambassador program looking for people that are Ambitious, responsible, and weird enough to try this with us, and Ready to represent us, organize campus events, and build community
What did I do
I thought of it, got it designed, asked them to execute.
And at the End I…
Learned that
Vision maybe powerful but execution is everything.
Creative people need containers, not control.
Working with filmmakers, comedians, and students taught me how to lead without micromanaging by setting direction, hold space, and letting them play.
I learned how to tell a compelling story through decks, whether it was for investors, colleges, or skeptical event partners. Storytelling isn’t just for the stage — it sells ideas too.
Sometimes, things don't ship and that’s okay - The shelved film taught me that not everything has to succeed to be valuable. The process taught me how to write, direct, collaborate, and manage egos that’s a win.
Partnerships need patience - Coordinating with artists, event managers, and college bodies taught me how fragile partnerships can be — and how communication, clarity, and timing make or break them.
