I’m Akhil Ram. I work in product design, research, and product management. I lead product design at IKS Health and build my own products alongside that role.

a seeker who walks the line between the material and the mystical; one striving to live mindfully, like a sanyasi, while still tethered to the everyday world.
“Though tempted by worldly desires, the Cosanyasi meditates at dawn, dreams at dusk, and questions everything in between.”

I’ve worked with more than twenty startups across design, product management, consulting, and business development.
At 18, I moved to Bengaluru with my mother to study animation and VFX. I took an internship while learning Adobe Illustrator. For my first assignment, I recreated a lost event logo with the team beside me. I delivered it in two and a half hours.
I founded Download Studios with a team of film and entertainment aspirants. We organised college festivals and stand-up shows, pitched colleges, and worked with production houses. I handled branding, pitch decks, partnerships, and film development.
At Finware, I worked on payment flows, onboarding, and product requirements. At Huber, I interviewed enterprise stakeholders and worked with the founder and a data analyst on personas, wireframes, and the MVP. I consulted on investment-banking interfaces and design systems.
I designed product workflows and enterprise controls at Plane.so. My work included Active Cycles, webhooks, onboarding, notifications, and board interactions. I also worked on the design system and marketing website.
I lead design for clinical intelligence products at IKS Health. I work on AI-assisted coding, risk intelligence, value-based care, and patient engagement. I contribute to research and requirements, then design workflows and support implementation through the shared design system.
I design and contribute to the builds of SizoCare, Beshaj, The Cognitive Club, and Nivoraq. I work on product scope, prototypes, interfaces, and AI tools in these projects.
I research the problem, plan the scope with the team, and take designs through implementation.
I interview users and stakeholders to understand their needs and constraints.
I map flows, write requirements, and agree on priorities with the team.
I prototype interactions, design screens, and work with engineers on implementation.
I review feedback and test the design, then use the findings to plan changes.
My team is made up of lovely individuals who add value to my life and creativity to every project.

“Akhil is fun to work with. Always full of energy and stomach hurting-ly laughable jokes. His creativity with jokes seeps into his work as well. I have seen him pull amazing work out of nothing. He is spontaneous, creative and beautifully artistic with his work. I have him on speed dial for the day I start my own company.”
