Work at Huber lasted for a short while but learning were un-forgettable. I had done field research, built prototypes, and some UI screens for them.

What did I learn?
On field research and making product decisions based on insight gathered.
The Product
Huber is an application set to revolutionize employee experience with an innovative platform. Seamlessly plan schedules, book workspaces, enhance collaboration, and enable seamless redemption of available perks. Flexible desk options and hybrid work strategies- near home or Huber locations. Integrated services like transport and meal subscriptions. Elevate engagement, productivity, and employee well-being with it’s comprehensive solutions.
Problem
Workplaces are packed with tools, but none of them talk to each other. Employees bounce between platforms for booking desks, checking salaries, or just finding a meeting room.
For HR teams and remote workers, this meant confusion, disengagement, and low satisfaction.
What did I do
I joined the project early and wore multiple hats across strategy and design. Here’s what I contributed:
Led user research through HR surveys and 1:1 interviews to uncover pain points across hybrid and remote workplaces
Mapped personas and journeys by clustering qualitative insights into user needs, motivations, and blockers
Analyzed competitors like Vantage Circle, Huler, and Worktango to identify positioning gaps and UI learnings
Defined feature direction for workspace booking, collaboration, and employee recognition modules
Sketched initial wireframes and modular UI blocks for the mobile app — focusing on clarity, friendliness, and usability
Proposed UX enhancements like reward gamification, customizable home screens, and integrations with tools like WhatsApp
Documented MVP success metrics including NPS, DAU/MAU growth, churn targets, and retention levers
Key Features Designed
📍 Workspace booking & locating team members
🏆 Recognition systems for star performers
📊 Company analytics and mood surveys
🍽️ Meal & travel integration
🛠️ In-app customization: hide features you don’t use
🧠 Micro-learning/upskilling space (inspired by EdTech)
Impact
✅ Created a clear product direction that balanced HR goals with employee needs across hybrid and remote setups
📊 Enabled better executive decision-making by defining success metrics like DAU/MAU growth, retention, and NPS
🧠 Helped reduce feature clutter by prioritizing high-impact modules based on real user behavior and feedback
🛠️ Built a strong UX foundation that could scale into modules like perks, internal upskilling, and employee recognition
🤝 Improved stakeholder alignment by transforming vague goals into a concrete, research-backed feature roadmap
The End
I learnt that designing for internal tools isn’t about just usability it’s about creating a product that feels like it belongs to the people who use it daily.
PS I made a Case Study years ago when I worked on this project, should I post it online ?.
